Get Some Training

A long time ago at a rope rescue training an instructor taught us that "knowledge is the lightest tool one can carry." Two decades later this still resonates with me and little did I know how transferable those rigging principles would be in my life. I've applied them to boating, hunting, tree trimming, securing loads on a trailer and so much more. Since that day I took every fire service class I possibly could because I wanted to have the best set of tools possible for every situation that could arise and become an instructor in multiple disciplines so I could learn even more and share with others. This philosophy has carried over to so many different aspects of life and is applicable in almost all that we do. Information is so readily available its important to learn what we can so that we are prepared for what the world throws at us.

Part of our mission at Raven is to provide training to our team and to our clients. This comes in all sorts of sizes and shapes. Training is an intentional act and takes time and dedication but the results will always pay off. A lot of people like to train in areas that are fun, areas where they are successful, but what really makes a difference is when training is challenging. When it pushes you outside of a comfort level and develops skills beyond what you had at the beginning of the session. Growth begins at the edge of our comfort zones and training should focus on growth and skill development.

One of the biggest aspects of our training programs is how they can be applied to life. Everything we teach becomes part of your knowledge base and can be applied way beyond the walls in which it was presented. From our CPR / AED classes to awareness sessions and even force on force scenarios, they all create lessons and insights that go way beyond the training evolutions. Whether it's a skill that you can now take with you anywhere you go (CPR) or enhanced OODA loop processing from force on force stress inoculation training, you become more valuable to yourself, your loved ones and society.

The ultimate message here is to push yourself and learn new things that can help you and your loved ones. We would love to partner with anyone out there who's looking to get some training. Our instructors and cadre have decades of real world experience and love to share information with others who have a desire to learn. The following are some of the programs we helped other clients with in the past.

  • CPR / AED

  • Basic First Aid

  • Disaster Medicine

  • Situational Awareness

  • Traveler Awareness

  • Defensive Shooting

  • Individual & Team Tactics

  • Force on Force
