Next on the team introductions is Jon Boeve. Jon is someone I have known professionally for almost 20 years. During the last 2 decades I've watched Jon progress in his career and develop into a well respected, professional leader in the law enforcement community. When the opportunity to bring him onto the team occurred back in 2022 it was an easy decision. Jon is one of the original members of the team and we are grateful to have in the flock.
Jon has over 21 years of law enforcement experience. A graduate of Grand Valley State
University and Police Academy in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice he is a full time, sworn law enforcement officer for a West Michigan area agency. His experience includes patrol, crash reconstruction, traffic enforcement and over 10 years as a patrol sergeant. Jon also has considerable planning responsibilities for his agency which correlates well into the amount of planning Raven's team puts into protective details.
Jon has a passion for continuing education. He is a 2009 graduate of the Michigan State
University Traffic Crash Reconstruction School and is certified in pistol and rifle instruction for
police officers. He also is a 2011 graduate of the Michigan State Police pursuit and precision
driving school which has created the opportunity to teach police pursuit driving for over a decade. Jon’s favorite assignment is supervising the police motor unit which utilizes specialized Harley Davidson motorcycles to provide law enforcement patrol and honorary motorcade details throughout West Michigan.
Jon brings his instruction experience to Raven as a certified instructor for Michigan concealed pistol licenses. He looks forward to working with clients on the legalities and skills needed for personal protection.
Jon not only enjoys being in a leadership capacity but excels at it both in his law enforcement role and as a detail lead for some of Raven's most elite clients. His ability to see the big picture and make changes on the fly makes him an incredible asset to the Raven team.
Where do you find inspiration?
Support. I recognize that it took many people in life who care about me to push me to become the man that I am. My wife, family, friends, and coworkers have all poured into me. It is something that I am forever in their debt for.
Leadership. I am a student of great leaders. My favorite leader of all time is Winston Churchill. He inspired an entire nation, under the direst of circumstances, to stand up and fight.

What 3 items would you bring with you on a deserted island?
Ultra-light fishing pole. I’m no fan of seafood but will need protein if stranded on an
island. I think that fishing is the most viable option for sustainable food.
2. Magnesium fire starter. These work great, even if they get wet. Fire is going to be
paramount for survival.
3. A good Machete. A machete can be used for fire building, shelter, and defense.
What is your Favorite travel hack?
Everyone knows that a properly packed suitcase is a key to success. You’d be surprised to see what can fit in a checked bag if things are properly folded, rolled and stored!
How do you decompress & have fun?
Life is busy with a young daughter. My wife and I enjoy watching her play sports and learn new things every day. It is rewarding to see her so full of life at a young age, experiencing the world and growing in her faith. We enjoy family vacations as well as time spent at home with our dogs.
In my downtime, I enjoy motorsports. Motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, and anything else that I can do to get outside and clear my head of everyday stress.
